We recently finished this project on Moray Place, Edinburgh. The original curved sashes had been altered at some time in the past to a single pane window with the astragals having been removed.
Our client wished to have the astragals reinstated and the window returned to how they were when they were made originally. This was no easy task as it required the partial dismantling of the sashes to create enough space to fit the newly formed astragals. The single pane glass was removed before sizes were taken and the sashes marked out.
